About The Position

Schweiger is a leading dermatology practice with a significant national presence, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their Allergy Solutions Lab as a Solution Mixing Technician for their Mt Vernon office. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a background as a Medical Assistant or similar, looking to specialize in allergen extract preparation. Under indirect supervision of a licensed physician, the technician will be responsible for the precise mixing of allergen extracts, strictly adhering to established protocols. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certification Required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently under indirect supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a laboratory or clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques and sterile preparation preferred
• Basic understanding of allergen extracts and immunotherapy preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare allergen extract mixtures accurately, following standardized recipes and protocols.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety and sterility standards.
• Label, package, and store mixed extracts appropriately.
• Document lot numbers, expiration dates, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of lab supplies.
• Participate in ongoing training to ensure compliance with best practices.
