Requirements
- Certified Technician Certification program
- Licensed by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
- Clinic pharmacy experience required
- QS1 pharmacy management experience required
Nice To Haves
- Sterile Compounding experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare, compound and dispense medical prescriptions.
- Perform some clerical duties relating to the department.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Verify stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Maintain sterile compounding area according to standards and LSBME regulations.
- Assist at other sites if a need arises.
- Prepare prescription orders accurately and efficiently, verifying prescription information and dosage.
- Provide quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain inventory & maintain a safe and clean dispensary.
- Maintain records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions.
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing goals, seeking opportunities for development, and promoting a positive environment.
