About The Position

Burrell Behavioral Health is hiring a Solution Focused Brief Therapist to provide immediate access to mental healthcare and support successful client outcomes. The therapist will provide individual and group therapy using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), as well as Motivational Interviewing. Training, consultation, and supervision in SFBT are available, and Motivational Interviewing training is provided upon hire. The role involves working with medical partnerships and completing initial assessments for new clients as needed.

The position is based in Springfield, Missouri, within Mental Health Services. Flexible scheduling is available as either four ten-hour days or five eight-hour days. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relative experience.
• Hold one of the following Missouri licenses: Licensed Psychologist (LP), Provisionally Licensed Psychologist (PLP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (PLMFT).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
• SFBT training or experience is a bonus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for appropriate client candidates.
• Conduct Solution-Focused Brief group therapy sessions for appropriate client candidates.
• Use Motivational Interviewing skills to assess a client's stage of change and apply appropriate interventions.
• Work with medical partnerships to provide assessment and therapy for referral or care pathway needs.
• Complete initial assessments for new clients as needed.
