Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Microsoft-focused Solution Executive is responsible for key sales pursuit activities relating to Microsoft Modern Work and AI platform solutions for all customers. Activities include pre-sales strategy, solution design, and transition to delivery. This role is tightly coupled with the Global Services sales team, Microsoft Alliance team, solution architects, and practice leadership. The Microsoft Solution Executive engages with multiple layers of our clients’ business and technology management to help define requirements and shape compelling, commercially grounded solution proposals. The primary functions and required skills are to facilitate discovery, articulate the “art of the possible,” and guide clients toward impactful business outcomes enabled by Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform. This individual is not expected to function as a senior architect or hands-on implementer; rather, they must excel at synthesizing customer needs, coordinating with internal SMEs, and delivering solution proposals with executive presence, clear messaging, and a strong sense of urgency. The Microsoft Solution Executive is expected to influence and guide service revenue growth in excess of $10M per year. This role will require approximately 30% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in Information Technology and/or Professional Services required; 12+ years preferred
  • 5+ years’ presales & solutioning experience with the Microsoft Modern Work suite in a professional services organization (i.e. HCL, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Accenture, Cap Gemini, Deloitte, etc.)
  • 5+ years in client facing roles interfacing with business and technology executives
  • 5+ years of hands-on delivery experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
  • (Preferred) Channel alliance, pre-sales, or solution advisory experience in Microsoft Modern Work, Copilot, Power Platform, or Azure solution deployments
  • Experience developing effort/cost estimates, writing statements of work, and reviewing/contributing to client contractual agreement; language
  • Must have outstanding executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to command the room, deliver a clear and compelling message, and engage credibly at all levels—from practitioners to C-suite—within both client and TEKsystems organizations
  • Must have strong business and technology acumen with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform capabilities; able to lead “art of the possible” conversations, define customer requirements, and translate them into a coherent solution narrative with urgency and authority
  • Must have sufficient technical fluency in the Microsoft ecosystem to build credibility with IT and Business leadership; this role does not require deep architecture or implementation expertise, but the individual must understand enough to ask the right questions, recognize gaps, and orchestrate the right SMEs into the pursuit
  • Must be detail oriented and comfortable leading cross-functional solution teams; able to synthesize inputs from multiple SMEs into a polished, persuasive proposal and present it to the customer with confidence and urgency

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent is a plus, but not required
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900), Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900), Copilot for Microsoft 365 (MS-4004), or Power Platform Solution Architect (PL-600); additional Microsoft certifications are a strong plus
  • Should have prior experience working within the Microsoft channel alliance program (CSP, MPN/MCPP, co-sell, or similar), with demonstrated ability to build and leverage partner relationships to accelerate pipeline and close business
  • Sharepoint defender is a nice to have

Responsibilities

  • Lead clients through the design and articulation of Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform-based solutions, framing business value and defining a clear path to outcomes
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop proposals for Microsoft Modern Work, Copilot, and Power Platform solutions within the Microsoft channel alliance program.
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs and technical architects to assemble solution proposals that are accurate, compelling, and commercially viable—without requiring deep personal implementation expertise.
  • Guide clients on Microsoft platform capabilities and best practices, with particular depth in Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI, to help them achieve their IT and business objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership around Microsoft AI and automation trends, including the evolving Copilot ecosystem, agentic AI capabilities, and the intersection of Power Platform with enterprise workflows
  • Develop and drive a business and technology point of view grounded in Microsoft’s channel alliance model, demonstrating how TGS capabilities translate to measurable customer outcomes
  • Drive and support business development activities by leveraging prior Microsoft alliance experience, relevant customer success stories, and a command of Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform capabilities and market momentum
  • Provide market insight into the creation of Microsoft practice sales collateral, solution plays, accelerators, and assets that support repeatable go-to-market motions
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with client business, technical, process, resource, and contractual requirements
  • Demonstrate thought leadership early and throughout the sales cycle
  • Engage Microsoft practice SMEs, solution architects, and delivery leadership at the appropriate time to ensure solution quality, mitigate risk, and facilitate proposal development and customer communication
  • Own solution development, pricing and associated deliverables
  • Transition new business to delivery, ensuring a proper handoff and project start
  • Support account management at key accounts
  • Alliance partnership activities within the Microsoft channel alliance program, including co-sell motions, partner-led pursuits, and alliance relationship management
