As part of the Azure Solution Engineering team, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers navigate complex business and technical challenges. Working closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, you will support organizations in evaluating their application and infrastructure needs, recommending solutions, and demonstrating how Microsoft technologies can help them achieve desired business outcomes. As a Solution Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop a team of talented Solution Engineers who engage with business and technical decision-makers across enterprise organizations. You will create an environment where individuals can learn, grow, and perform at their best while supporting customers in adopting innovative Cloud & AI solutions. Success in this role requires a passion for coaching and developing people, building strong customer and partner relationships, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • 3+ years people management experience (including leading virtual teams).

Responsibilities

  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture by aligning around shared goals and driving consistent execution excellence. Leverage Microsoft's Model, Coach, Care framework to provide ongoing coaching, development, and support, enabling team members to grow, deliver results, and contribute to business success.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with IT leaders, business decision-makers, developers, and other key stakeholders. Develop a deep understanding of customer priorities and challenges, identify opportunities to create value, and expand market awareness through ongoing engagement and industry networking.
  • Develop and sustain trusted partnerships across internal and external stakeholder groups. Facilitate alignment, remove barriers, and orchestrate resources to ensure effective collaboration, successful execution, and positive business outcomes.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management practices by leveraging data, tools, and established processes to generate, qualify, and advance opportunities. Use insights to identify risks, improve forecasting accuracy, and support the progression of opportunities through key sales milestones.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with strategic partners through regular engagement, shared accountability, and aligned go-to-market strategies. Support teams in leveraging partner ecosystems to accelerate business growth across Infrastructure, Data, AI, and Applications solution areas.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning by encouraging curiosity, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Support the team in staying current on emerging technologies, partner solutions, industry trends, and competitive insights to drive innovation and customer value.

Benefits

  • The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year.
