About The Position

The Solution Consultant (SC) is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving solution-based revenue growth within existing Ricoh Print customers as well as net-new and competitive accounts. This role operates in a B2B sales environment with a primary focus on print and related solutions. The SC maintains a comprehensive understanding of the Ricoh Print Solutions portfolio and is responsible for assessing customer environments, identifying opportunities, and developing compelling business solutions using Ricoh-approved hardware, software, and services. Success in this role requires strong consultative selling skills, creativity, organizational discipline, and the ability to present effectively to executive-level decision makers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of successful B2B sales experience in print hardware, software, services, and solution selling.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex sales.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong expertise in print and document solutions across diverse customer environments.
  • Ability to gather customer requirements and design conceptual solutions with clear next steps.
  • Ability to integrate proposed solutions into existing customer business and technical environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, complex sales cycles simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and SharePoint, as well as CRM and sales automation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through contract execution.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit goals while maintaining or increasing Machines in Field (MIF), driving unit placement, and managing expenses.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in territory, account, and opportunity management.
  • Build, manage, and close a robust pipeline of hardware, software, services, and end-to-end solution sales opportunities.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases supported by strong technical insight and leadership.
  • Engage and present to C-level executives within the assigned territory.
  • Drive adoption of Ricoh’s solutions portfolio by analyzing customer business and technology requirements and aligning tailored solutions.
  • Generate advanced solution sales opportunities by leading customer events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Develop and manage client-facing materials, including proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Engage and manage approved third-party partners throughout the sales cycle when appropriate.
  • Stay current on Ricoh products, partner solutions, competitive offerings, and industry trends.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach in all engagements with customer executives and IT leadership.
  • Adhere to all Ricoh policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate effective handoffs to pre-sales and global delivery teams for project execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
