Solution Architect

Gusto, Inc.•Atlanta, GA
•$120,000 - $150,000

About The Position

Gusto is hiring a Solution Architect for a deep technical role in Solutions Engineering, focused on API and integration architecture, enterprise deal qualification, and close partnership with Engineering and Product. The role owns qualification and demo strategy for the highest-MRR and most complex opportunities, and serves as the escalation point for genuine product or integration gaps. The work spans all routes to market, with team members typically anchored in Gusto Pro or Mid-Market, Franchises, and Channel Partnerships. The Solution Architect establishes technical standards across the broader team, mentors representatives as they take on more senior technical work, and partners with Engineering and Product to communicate customer insights, surface tooling gaps, and influence the roadmap. The role also owns the delivery path for scoped builds, coordinating the right internal or external resources, managing timelines, and ensuring customer commitments are met. Gusto has physical offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City, with an additional office in Scottsdale for its subsidiary Symmetry. Employees based in these locations are expected to work in the office on designated days approximately two to three days per week, or more depending on the role. Approved work from other locations requires a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection. Gusto expects regular and predictable attendance in office, hybrid, or remote arrangements.
