About The Position

The Cloud Engineering Architect serves as a technical and strategic leader responsible for designing modern, cloud-enabled architecture in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role partners with business and IT organizations to modernize RMIC systems and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture strategies. The architect defines future-state cloud architectures and leads transformation toward cloud-native, event-driven solutions, shaping cross-ART and cross-platform initiatives and guiding teams through complex system interdependencies in a scaled agile environment. Under limited guidance, the role develops end-to-end solution architecture for significant initiatives at the business-unit level in partnership with business and IT stakeholders. The position leads architecture for RMIC systems and workflows, including pricing, rating, invoicing, billing integrity, and settlement. It evaluates current platforms, identifies modernization opportunities, develops roadmaps, and provides technical leadership for migration to selected future-state architectures. The role defines cloud patterns, standards, reference architectures, and governance, and mentors architects and engineering teams. This is a hybrid position, preferably based in Memphis, Tennessee; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Plano, Texas; or Orlando, Florida.
