About The Position

The purpose of this role is to design solution architecture for cross-system interactions and business logic integration, ensuring seamless interoperability across multiple applications. This role is for a Data Architect with 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture. The role involves defining and driving enterprise-wide Data Mesh strategy, architecture, and operating models, establishing domain-oriented data ownership and federated governance frameworks, and leading the design, lifecycle management, and adoption of Data Products. It also includes defining standards for data contracts, interoperability, metadata, lineage, quality, observability, and discoverability, and enabling self-service data consumption and product-driven data delivery across business domains. Additionally, the role involves designing scalable cloud-native Data Lake/Lakehouse platforms, defining architectures for various integration patterns, creating target-state architectures for BI, Advanced Analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI use cases, and leading modernization initiatives from legacy systems to modern cloud ecosystems. The role also requires implementing federated governance, privacy, security, and compliance controls, establishing enterprise standards for data quality, observability, lineage, cataloging, and monitoring, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise security requirements. Leadership responsibilities include developing reference architectures, roadmaps, standards, and reusable design patterns, providing architecture leadership across business, technology, data engineering, governance, and cloud teams, engaging with CDOs, CIOs, business leaders, and domain owners, and mentoring architects and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture.
  • Proven experience implementing: Data Mesh Architecture
  • Proven experience implementing: Data as a Product Operating Models
  • Proven experience implementing: Enterprise Data Lakes/Lake houses
  • Proven experience implementing: Federated Data Governance
  • Proven experience implementing: Self-Service Data Platform
  • Database Architecting
  • Experience: 8-10 Years

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirement discussions with client stakeholders to define solution and implementation level needs basis the business requirements.
  • Create solution architecture designs to meet cross-system interactions and business logic integration requirements, ensuring system cohesion across multiple applications.
  • Assess and evaluate interactions across multiple applications by evaluating implementation dependencies and integration requirements.
  • Support validation of solution components during implementation and ensures the solution functions as designed.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks by evaluating system performance of implemented architectural solutions, to ensure efficient system landscape.
  • Define and drive enterprise-wide Data Mesh strategy, architecture, and operating model.
  • Establish domain-oriented data ownership and federated governance frameworks.
  • Lead the design, lifecycle management, and adoption of Data Products.
  • Define standards for data contracts, interoperability, metadata, lineage, quality, observability, and discoverability.
  • Enable self-service data consumption and product-driven data delivery across business domains.
  • Design scalable cloud-native Data Lake/Lakehouse platforms supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Define architectures for batch, streaming, API, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Create target-state architectures supporting BI, Advanced Analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI use cases.
  • Lead modernization initiatives from legacy data warehouses and siloed platforms to modern cloud ecosystems.
  • Implement federated governance, privacy, security, and compliance controls by design.
  • Establish enterprise standards for data quality, observability, lineage, cataloging, and monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and enterprise security requirements.
  • Develop reference architectures, roadmaps, standards, and reusable design patterns.
  • Provide architecture leadership across business, technology, data engineering, governance, and cloud teams.
  • Engage with CDOs, CIOs, business leaders, and domain owners to align architecture with business outcomes.
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams on modern data architecture practices.
