About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Boeing Global Services (BGS) is hiring a Level 5 Solution Architect/Data Scientist for the Business Modernization Office in Seattle, Washington. This onsite role is intended for an experienced or lead data scientist who wants to contribute to large-scale impacts across the BGS business unit.

The position designs target technical solutions spanning applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure; makes build, buy, or configure decisions; and evaluates vendors. It ensures solutions align with enterprise standards, security, and scalability, guides implementation teams, resolves technical risks, and leads alignment among IT technical stakeholders. The role also applies data science to support analysis, exploration, and decision-making, while improving models and algorithms and ensuring data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least five years of professional experience in data science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning. The stated summary pay range is $218,450–$295,550. This position is not contingent upon program award, does not require a security clearance, and requires a U.S. Person for export control compliance. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline.
• Experience in information technology, data analytics, and/or system architectures.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
• Experience with software development and programming.
• Experience leading technical teams or projects.
• Knowledge of design systems for software, databases, frameworks, and cloud platforms to build scalable, secure, and cost-effective systems.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person.
• Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the Boeing Global Services business, including technical solution applications, data, and infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of experience in natural language processing.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools.
• Experience with generative AI models, including LLMs, for building knowledge-driven solutions.
• Experience integrating models into customer environments, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
• Experience working in an agile software development team or with Lean methodologies.
