About The Position
Peoria's Public Works Department has an excellent opportunity for an Equipment Operator in the residential collection division. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with heavy equipment in the completion of assigned tasks such as excavating, trenching, street cleaning, and delivering refuse and recycling materials to the landfill. They will also operate various types of solid waste equipment, including front load, side load, rear load, and roll-off collection vehicles, and an articulated tractor.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalency.
- At least 9-12 months of experience in a similar or related position.
- A valid Arizona Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required at the time of hire.
- List ALL Commercial Driving Experience On Resume And Application
Nice To Haves
- Depending on the assignment, a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and/or Tanker and HazMAT endorsements may be required within 12 months of hire.
Responsibilities
