About The Position

The Solderer at bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys and manufacture of advanced power solutions, will be responsible for solder sub-assemblies-batteries, chargers, and accessories with accuracy by hand. Certain positions at EnerSys Advanced Systems require access to information or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. government security regulations. Candidates for these positions should be a “U.S. Person” under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a refugee/asylee) and/or otherwise comply with ITAR requirements for access rights to be considered for a position. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ year of soldering experience or related work
  • Possess a careful approach to their work, demonstrating a steady hand during the soldering process.
  • Capable to pass the BT solder test, which is a measure of their skill in soldering.
  • Good hand-eye coordination to handle soldering tasks.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be a “U.S. Person” under ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a refugee/asylee) and/or otherwise comply with ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Solder batteries, chargers, and accessories by hand according to supervisor’s directions and work instructions.
  • Shrink sleeve appropriately as required.
  • Apply tie wraps and strip wires as needed.
  • Maintain assigned safety equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain daily production records.
  • Report product anomalies and damaged equipment.
  • Consistently complete daily required quantities.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
