Solar Service Technician/ Surveyor
About The Position
The Solar Service Technician/ Surveyor will work closely with the Service Manager and Dispatcher to troubleshoot residential customer's pv solar systems, install upgrades, battery backup systems and electric vehicle charging systems.The Service Technician/ Surveyor will provide professional site auditing services to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data to the Sales, Operations & Design Teams for the preparation of project scope information needed to adequately propose a solar system design, as well as provide permit ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar systems. As the Technician/ Surveyor you will be making a first impression of the company to the customer. Must be professional and confident in all requirements to make a smooth first meet to ensure the customer is completely comfortable continuing with Green Power Energy.
Requirements
- Experience installing solar panels, wiring solar electrical and/or running conduit.
- Tremendous customer service skills, written and verbal.
- Understand Troubleshooting Techniques.
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance record.
- Ability to use basic installation tools, power tools and hand tools.
- Good physical condition, able to lift minimum of 50lbs, and have the ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully troubleshoot issues on comp shingle and flat roofs.
- Must be able to pass background check and Drug Screen.
- Self Motivated individual who works well alone.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot residential customer's pv solar systems, install upgrades, battery backup systems and electric vehicle charging systems.
- Provide professional site auditing services to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data to the Sales, Operations & Design Teams for the preparation of project scope information needed to adequately propose a solar system design.
- Provide permit ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar systems.
- Manage customer service tickets, coordinating the execution of service work with Service Manager, field technicians and leadership team.
- Install and Troubleshoot batteries, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, and inverters.
- Inventory and Tool Management.
