Solar Production Coordinator

About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Solar Production Coordinator to support the planning, scheduling, and execution of residential and/or commercial solar projects. This role works closely with project managers, installation crews, permitting teams, utilities, and customers to ensure projects move efficiently from approval through installation and final completion.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in solar operations, construction coordination, project coordination, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Experience with scheduling software, CRM platforms, or project management tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of solar installation processes, permitting, and utility interconnection is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of residential or commercial solar systems
- Familiarity with AHJ permitting and utility PTO processes
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and vendors
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily and weekly solar installation schedules
- Track project progress from contract signing through PTO (Permission to Operate)
- Communicate with customers regarding project timelines, appointments, and status updates
- Work with permitting, engineering, and utility companies to ensure required documentation is submitted accurately and on time
- Coordinate materials, equipment deliveries, and subcontractor schedules
- Maintain accurate project records in CRM and project management systems
- Support field crews by resolving scheduling or logistical issues
- Monitor project deadlines and escalate delays or issues proactively
- Assist with production reporting, KPI tracking, and workflow optimization
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and local regulations
