Solar Laborer / Operator - Clewiston, FL
About The Position
Moss is hiring team members to perform work on utility-scale solar construction projects. No experience is necessary; the role is suited to hardworking candidates with a positive attitude who want to learn a trade in solar construction. Work is performed outdoors at project sites in all types of weather. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials. Pay starts at $20 per hour, with opportunities for growth and a long-term career. Extended hours may occur, with shifts lasting up to 12 hours; overtime and work on weekends and holidays may be required. A pre-employment drug test is required.
Requirements
- Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
- Be able to walk, stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials while adhering to safety standards.
- Have reliable transportation to and from the project site.
- Be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Convey a positive and professional attitude and adhere to Moss core values.
- Pass a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to work successfully and safely on solar projects.
- Operate hand tools, including tape measures, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders, and rakes.
- Perform general labor duties in the field at solar project sites.
- May work as a Millwright, Solar PV Installer, or Quality Control Representative.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
