Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum of 2 years inspecting construction work in NYC, across projects of varying size and complexity.
Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC Building Code.
ICC Soils Special Inspector certification (REQUIRED)
Current training in fall protection, scaffolding and ladders, work-zone safety
Minimum of OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification.

Nice To Haves

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I certification
ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector certification
ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification
NYS Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil)
30-Hour OSHA certification
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
