About The Position

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking a Quality Control Technician with a background in agriculture and/or soil science. This role involves working both independently and collaboratively with sales teams, management, landscaping companies, and landscape architects. The position focuses on ensuring the quality of soil mixes through various testing and analysis procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Knowledge in agriculture and/or soil science
• Work individually or with a team
• Use various lab equipment (pH meter/EC meter, Texture Analysis in house)
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds or more

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's in Soil Science Preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect components for soil mixes
• Create soil mixes and mail out samples to various labs for testing
• Download test results and send to salesman
• Post results on shared drive
• Work through specs for upcoming jobs
• Generate custom mixes for jobs
• Use oven to dry out soils that need to be ran through sieve shaker
• Operate Sieve Shaker as well as calculating the gradation and generating a report
• Weighing different materials
• Working in the field as well as in the quality control lab
• Being in charge of all certifications for all certified products
• Collaborate with other departments
• Work with salesmen, managers, landscaping companies and landscape architects
