About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Software V&V Lead to join our team in Rockford, Illinois. This onsite role requires a deep understanding of software verification and validation processes, particularly within the aerospace domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building instrumentation, performing structural coverage analysis (SCA), and managing build creation and coverage analysis. This role is critical for ensuring the safety and reliability of our safety-critical systems.

Requirements

Around 10 years of experience in building instrumentation, SCA, build creation, and coverage analysis.
Aerospace domain experience is mandatory.
Proficiency in DO-178B/C standards and their application in software verification processes (6+ years).
Experience with Embedded C/C++ or Integration testing or Verification and Validation or embedded systems.
6+ years of experience in RTRT tool usage for SCA activities.
Strong experience with Software Testing methodologies, including Black-box, White-box, and boundary value analysis.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in avionics systems (e.g., C, Ada).
Experience with software testing tools and frameworks for unit, integration (SSIT and HSIT), and system level testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
Experience in working within a regulated environment with a focus on safety-critical systems.
Experience with Configuration and change management activities using tools like Synergy CM/Change, Polarion/SVN.

Responsibilities

Lead software verification and validation (V&V) activities.
Build instrumentation for software testing.
Perform Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) and manage build creation.
Conduct coverage analysis.
Apply DO-178B/C standards in software verification processes.
Utilize RTRT tool for SCA activities.
Implement and oversee software testing methodologies, including Black-box, White-box, and boundary value analysis.
Perform unit, integration (SSIT and HSIT), and system level testing.
Identify root causes of defects using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Document and communicate test results and findings clearly.
Manage requirements using tools like DOORS.
Engage in configuration and change management activities using tools like Synergy CM/Change or Polarion/SVN.
