About The Position

SCCI is seeking a Software Tools Developer to join our team! The successful candidate will be part of a team of Configuration Management (CM) Analysts working to manage CM information. This position ensures the integrity of the hardware baselines by managing and developing the critical Hardware CM database, drawing repositories, and change control pipelines that support our systems. This position is expected to interface with other functional areas (i.e. Hardware Engineering, CM, and JIRA IPT). This position is available for immediate hire and is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
High School Diploma
Minimum of one (1) year of professional software development experience is required
Demonstrated proficiency in C#, C++, and VB.net is required
Direct experience developing and integrating Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and writing Structured Query Language (SQL) functions is required
Knowledge of Industry Best Practices for Software Development best practices is required
Knowledge of Configuration Management processes and tools, including baseline identification, change control boards (CCB), configuration audits, release management, and status accounting is desired
Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government, contractor, and military organizations
Ability to work with others to meet established goals and program schedules
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

CompTIA Security+ certification or desire to obtain one
Experience with Power Suite tools and language (Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Fx)
Experience training users and troubleshooting issues working with host site personnel and network engineers

Responsibilities

Provide the BMS CM Lead with real-time visibility into the Hardware (HW) CM Database Tool. This includes reporting milestones, schedules, build status, and concerns
Ensure that all Hardware CM Tool updates are conducted in accordance with Software and CM best practices
Design, develop, test, and document the Hardware CM Tool progression to streamline CM drawing number assignment, revision control and system baselines.
Collaborate weekly with the CM and JIRA teams
Participate in continued BMS process improvements including but not limited to software development, configuration management, hardware engineering, and automation
Be an active technical participant in the Database Tool Review Board (DTRB) is required
Adapt to changing technologies, processes, and organizational requirements
Providing timely and accurate information and status updates to leadership, project sponsors, end users, and management
Providing timely alerts to the designated Government representative on potential issues
Responsible for maintaining backlogs and providing work item estimations
Participating in daily standup meetings
