Enterprise - Software Tool Engineer - DDI, Python, Ansible
About The Position
Erias Ventures is seeking a Software Tool Engineer to join the DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI) Operations Team. This role is responsible for automating requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management. The engineer will develop automated solutions to manage requirements, link source documents, and architectures. They will collaborate with teams to identify, engineer, and implement optimal automated solutions following approved processes. Additionally, the Tools Engineer will work with other infrastructure support teams to integrate solutions with automation, infrastructure, and productivity tools. The role involves designing and implementing secure and scalable DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions using Infoblox DDI, troubleshooting complex DDI issues, and automating DDI workflows for improved efficiency. The engineer will also provide technical expertise on DDI, including IPv4 and IPv6, and stay current with Infoblox DDI features and best practices.
Requirements
- A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
- Fourteen (14) years combined experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator or configuration management engineer.
- Eight (8) years experience as a Tools Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited institution is required.
- Four (4) years of additional experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator , or configuration management experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Labor Category must be in compliance with certification requirements detailed in DoD8570-M, IAT level 1.
- DOD8570-M, IAT Level 1 certification.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Load Balancing (F5/DTC).
- Familiar with outages, latency issues, & trouble shooting.
- Proven experience designing and implementing DDI solutions.
- Experience with load balancing technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IPv4 and IPv6.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with scripting (Perl, Python) and automation tools (Ansible).
Nice To Haves
- DNS experience with an understanding of administration of Infoblox.
- Experience with Infoblox trouble tickets.
- In-depth knowledge of Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).
