About The Position

SAIC is hiring a Software Tester to support DEVCOM AvMC at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, under the Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation and Missile Center. The role supports testing of web-based applications in an Agile software development environment and requires an active Secret Security Clearance to start.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree and zero years of experience, or six years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
• Experience performing software testing for web applications.
• Familiarity with Agile software development environments.
• Experience with test management or issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TFS.
• Understanding of C# and .NET Framework/.NET 8+ environments sufficient to test functionality.
• Ability to write clear, repeatable test cases and evaluate software behavior against requirements.
• Basic understanding of SQL for test data validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to continually improve testing processes, tools, and personal skillset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web-based applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Document test results, track defects, and verify resolution in collaboration with developers.
• Validate data integrations with SQL databases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other testers during sprint activities.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Update test-related tasks and statuses on the sprint board.
• Support help desk investigations by reproducing and documenting reported issues.
• Support test automation initiatives where applicable.
