About The Position

We are seeking an entry–mid level Software Tester with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing to support software systems used in HVAC products, including systems that manage and monitor 1-stage and 2-stage compressors. This role will focus on ensuring software quality, reliability, and performance across applications that support operational, control, and user-facing HVAC technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in testing methodologies, exposure to automation frameworks, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
Experience executing both manual and automated test cases
Hands-on experience with at least one test automation tool or framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar)
Understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test plans, test cases, and defect lifecycle management
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments
Ability to analyze technical issues and clearly document findings
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
Equivalent professional experience considered

Nice To Haves

Experience testing systems related to industrial equipment, manufacturing, or HVAC technologies
Exposure to testing applications that interface with hardware or embedded systems
Basic understanding of compressors, control systems, or IoT-enabled devices
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
Familiarity with API testing and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts to simulate real-world user interactions and system behaviors
Execute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability
Analyze test results and logs to identify, reproduce, and document software defects
Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and systems engineers to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria
Develop, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage
Participate in regression testing cycles for software releases related to HVAC control systems and compressor functionality
Ensure test coverage aligns with business, operational, and compliance requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and documentation
