Enterprise - Software Test Engineer - Automation, Python
About The Position

As a Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with software developers and program managers to identify and fix defects and improve the quality of the finished product. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance software applications using best practices and industry standards. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance. Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate software deployment and monitoring processes. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in software engineering and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve our software products.
Requirements
- A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
- Six (6) years of experience as a STE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Experience required to support Information Assurance: Quality Assurance: Nosetest, rcptt, Test automation development, performance/load/stress testing, User interface testing, Security testing, Code coverage tools, Systems integration testing, Data interface testing, Eclipse, ESB, CORBA, or ICE, JIRA or Git and JBuilder or Eclipse
- Experience required to support Information Technology: Software Test: C, C++, Java, or JavaScript, Python or BASH, Agile, Software Development and JIRA or Git.
Nice To Haves
- A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
- Four (4) years of additional Test Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a degree.
