About The Position

Tapestry Solutions, A Boeing Company, is seeking a Software Engineer – Test Automation for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. This role is crucial in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle, ensuring adherence to industry, customer, and safety standards, as well as strict government regulations. The successful candidate will translate customer requirements into software designs, develop and optimize software products, and debug issues to ensure reliability and efficiency. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications
1+ year(s) of test automation experience
Proficiency with modern scripting or programming language(s) (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, .Net etc.)
Strong analytical skills
Experience working in an Agile development environment
U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
CompTIA Security+ Certification or better (unless bachelor’s degree earned in one of the following concentrations: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering)
2+ years of test automation experience
Experience with Ranorex or similar frontend testing tools
2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps
3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SonarQube, Ranorex, Fortify, etc.)
1+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Experience with the .Net ecosystem and C#

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated frontend and backend tests in a .Net Framework and .Net 8/10 environment
Create test automation plans based on program requirements
Execute manual exploratory testing as needed; identify opportunities for automation
Collaborate with product management and developers to establish comprehensive test scenarios
Document identified defects in bug tracking system and validate implemented fixes
Track test automation metrics (defect density, open defects, time to resolution, etc.)
