About The Position

CACI - Advanced Communications is seeking Software Test Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 who are passionate about working closely with our team to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. In this important role, you will be working on TestExec®—our Automated Testing Framework to automate data collection, analysis, and test procedures. This position is fully on‑site.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a STEM degree
1+ semester of experience with Object Oriented development
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
0-1+ years of experience in a lab environment
Experience with the Linux Operating System
Experience with version control tools, such as GitLab
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience Python Development
Experience with the use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and digital multi-meters is a plus
Experience with python numpy and matplotlib libraries for data analysis

Responsibilities

Design tests for ground and/or space communication systems both individually and within a group environment
Work with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, etc.
Conduct automated and manual testing of applications controlling integrated hardware and peripheral equipment while supporting/enhancing existing software products as necessary
Automate test procedures using python scripting
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to implement tests and validate test results
Support Test Planning by mapping requirements to Test Procedures for Factory Acceptance Tests
Use your engineering skills to analyze, design, and implement automated scripts within complex systems
