About The Position

Spend your summer building software that powers real-world technology at scale. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join one of our software development teams and contribute to a project focused on a specific area of Nutanix technology, working alongside experienced software engineers and technical experts. This hands-on internship emphasizes project ownership and deep technical learning, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to software design, development, testing, debugging, and performance optimization. You’ll receive mentorship and guidance as you build solutions that improve the functionality, efficiency, and scalability of our products. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving complex technical problems, learning new technologies, and turning ideas into high-quality software that makes an impact for enterprise customers. Requirements

Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, System Administration, or a related technical program.
An anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
Experience with backend or data-centric programming, along with coursework in two or more systems areas such as operating systems, parallel programming, distributed systems, or database management systems.
Fluency in at least one of Java, C++, Python, or Golang, with a strong passion for solving complex technical problems.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Nutanix will not provide a visa or work permit sponsorship for this position, now or in the future.
Ability to work from our San Jose, CA offices a minimum of 3 days per week (Hybrid model).
