About The Position

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Test Automation Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This role requires a strong understanding of system design, requirements development, and the full testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing and executing test plans, procedures, and artifacts, with a focus on automation scripting. The position also demands excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a closed-area environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
• 5 years of related work experience
• Working knowledge of system design, requirements development, use cases, test plans, procedure preparation, and test execution
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
• Experience with software testing or integration
• Experience in developing test artifacts/cases and executing manual test in support of requirements verification efforts
• Knowledge of Python and automation scripting
• Good communication skills
• Demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
• Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
• Must have an active Secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the MDA GMD program
• Broad experience with systems engineering applied throughout the systems "V" lifecycle model
• Experience with Software development and the verification of requirements.
• Battle Management or Fire Control experience
• MBSE or INCOSE Certifications
• Experience developing SE artifacts, including specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, and similar documents
