About The Position

The Software Testing Automation Engineer will play a key role in the quality assurance of AML Transaction Monitoring suite of applications. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the automation framework including Cloud technologies like Databricks, AWS, Python, PySpark, Airflow, ETL. Adopt and implement the new automated tools and technologies which will be suitable for AML program to improve the efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of experience in Software Test Automation Solutions using Cloud/Big data technologies.
  • Hands on experience with Cloud, Big data technologies like Scala, Spark, Databricks, or AWS.
  • Agile methodology experience and using these tools like JIRA, X-Ray, or Confluence.
  • Expertise in providing cloud solutions.
  • Proven ability to create objects and methods, and hand-code test scripts using automated testing tools.
  • Proven knowledge of reusable coding patterns and object oriented paradigms as applied to automated testing tools.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding and hands on experience in ETL/DWH testing.
  • Hands on experience on SQL (Analytical Functions and complex queries), SQL developer and TOAD.
  • Proven Knowledge on Spark and Scala, Hive/Impala, or Python.
  • Experience with Hadoop Big Data Testing.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools including JIRA, X-Ray, HP ALM or RTC.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile methodology and Agile Ceremonies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have hands on experience on Selenium Web driver or Python for test automation framework.
  • Must have knowledge on writing Spark SQL queries for data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Drive testing automation solutions across multiple platforms including AML Transaction Monitoring.
  • Set up and develop Automation framework and create the Databricks workflow/jobs to schedule and run the Automation suite.
  • Handle large volumes data validations using python/PySpark query implementation.
  • Create technical frameworks, customized to provide effective solutions and architecting technical solutions to any business.
  • Design systems that support large scale data processing that optimizes storage and performance.
  • Perform entity resolution for Anti money laundering.
  • Work with users and developers to define new projects to extend and enhance the company’s proprietary financial applications.
  • Create test scenarios and implement functional test cases (automated and otherwise) that will serve as acceptance test criteria for enhancements and new applications.
  • Work closely with developers and quality assurance members to run test suites and research errors.
  • Work with developers to utilize and extend custom test harnesses for applications.
  • Find ways to enhance the testing process with new tools, strategies or techniques.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and push the boundaries of test automation to achieve measurable efficiencies.
  • Play Agile Scrum Master role for the Agile ceremonies.
