•$87,000 - $123,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Software Test and Automation Engineer will design and execute software test plans, protocols, and cases, and build automated tests for features across the Implantable Heart Failure Management (IHFM) product suite. This includes digital ecosystem applications for mobile and web, an application platform comprising microservices, and a data platform with Databricks components and pipelines. The role develops and maintains UI, API, and data-pipeline automated tests and integrates them into CI/CD pipelines to expand reliable regression coverage. It performs functional, regression, integration, verification, and validation testing under established design controls, maintaining traceability from requirements through test execution and defect closure. The engineer manages test artifacts and defects in Azure DevOps and works with developers to reproduce issues, identify root causes, and confirm fixes. The position also validates Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communications between medical peripherals or IoT devices and Android/iOS devices, as well as interactions between embedded firmware and physical hardware components. It tests complete connected-device workflows spanning medical devices or peripherals, BLE, mobile applications, APIs, and cloud microservices. Test documentation must meet FDA, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485 expectations and withstand audit scrutiny. The posting describes the role as based in Irvine, California, and part of an in-person, cross-functional medtech innovation hub. The company offers competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a variety of benefits programs, without listing specific benefits.
