About The Position

Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), a Crete United Company, specializes in Building Automation and Temperature Controls. The Software group is responsible for the development and implementation of the programming logic for building automation projects within the Controls division. The Software Technician will act as project lead for the Software efforts on each project they are directly assigned or as a resource under the supervision of a senior software technician. The Software Technician will possess the knowledge, expertise, and ability to train and mentor junior techs within the Software group to support the growth and development of the company.

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent
Five or more years’ experience working within the Building Automation industry
Mastery of all responsibilities expected of each previous Software Technician level (I, II)
Knowledge of various BAS protocols (ie: BACnet, LONworks, Modbus, etc)
Knowledge of ethernet networking
Ability to read, interpret, and understand design and construction documents
Ability to work in a variety of circumstances (both in the office and the field)
Must be 21 years of age
Possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field is a plus
Niagara AX/N4 certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Act as project lead for the Software efforts on each project that they are directly assigned or as a resource under the supervision of a senior software technician.
Train and mentor junior techs within the Software group.
Implement building automation solutions and write software code.
Work in a variety of circumstances (both in the office and the field) including but not limited to: climbing ladders/scaffolds/high lift equipment, working on active construction sites.
Use and operate various hand and power tools.
