About The Position

ITility is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency program. This is a remote position working on Eastern Time and is part of a proposal. ITility is identifying Key Personnel by November 1, though that date is subject to change. The person selected must be available to start on January 4, 2027, and willing to sign a Letter of Commitment.

The Software Systems Engineer provides engineering support for DLA application sustainment by analyzing, designing, modifying, and testing software and system components, while helping keep the environment stable, secure, and current. The role requires an active Secret clearance and eight years of relevant experience. IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or a Tier 3 (T3) investigation must be in place at proposal submission.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• Eight years of experience in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
• IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) investigation in place at proposal submission.
• Available to start January 4, 2027, and willing to sign a Letter of Commitment.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform computer-based work using standard office equipment.
• Frequent verbal communication, active listening, and visual acuity to perform job responsibilities effectively.
• Must follow site-specific safety, security, and dress standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience engineering DLA or other DoD enterprise systems.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and design changes to existing applications and components.
• Modify, build, test, and deploy software fixes and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Support security patching, vulnerability remediation, and technology refresh.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and design records.
