Software Systems Engineer
About The Position
Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to provide specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines. Under minimal direction, the engineer will analyze and support systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. The role also supports the planning and conversion of new hardware and software products, maintains and configures related software, and evaluates operating systems for performance, capacity, and hardware upgrade needs. The engineer works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications, assists with program design and implementation, and prepares product documentation. The position interfaces with system support groups and customers to resolve issues, improve operating system efficiency, and gather system requirements or problem details.
Requirements
- Must possess an IT-II security clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
- Basic federal clearance requirements include U.S. citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no recent or pending bankruptcies.
- At least 8 years of experience in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
