Requirements

  • Advanced study or training past the high school equivalency at a community college, vocational, business, technical, or correspondence school, and 3 years’ experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
  • Ability to effectively read and interpret technical documentation and specifications
  • Firm knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Knowledge of the major methodologies of software testing
  • Experience with testing web-based and non-web-based software
  • Ability to work independently or in a group setting as dictated; able to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytic thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Review of the documented functional requirements of gaming-related software to be tested for acceptance; composing clear, concise, and effective test cases to be used in the execution of software testing based on the defined requirements
  • Participating in the formal review of internally documented test plans, providing input
  • Executing testing in relation to the documented approved test plan, performing functional, ad-hoc, integration, usability, and regression testing as defined and needed against all affected lottery applications on all supported lottery-specific hardware devices
  • Collaboration daily with vendor personnel in the performance of the necessary tasks or processes that need to be performed during software testing cycles
  • Updating existing repetitive test cases due to system and software changes, utilizing the test case management tools and applications in place
