Requirements

Advanced study or training past the high school equivalency at a community college, vocational, business, technical, or correspondence school, and 3 years’ experience
Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
Ability to effectively read and interpret technical documentation and specifications
Firm knowledge of the software development life cycle
Knowledge of the major methodologies of software testing
Experience with testing web-based and non-web-based software
Ability to work independently or in a group setting as dictated; able to multitask
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytic thinking skills

Responsibilities

Review of the documented functional requirements of gaming-related software to be tested for acceptance; composing clear, concise, and effective test cases to be used in the execution of software testing based on the defined requirements
Participating in the formal review of internally documented test plans, providing input
Executing testing in relation to the documented approved test plan, performing functional, ad-hoc, integration, usability, and regression testing as defined and needed against all affected lottery applications on all supported lottery-specific hardware devices
Collaboration daily with vendor personnel in the performance of the necessary tasks or processes that need to be performed during software testing cycles
Updating existing repetitive test cases due to system and software changes, utilizing the test case management tools and applications in place
