About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Software QA Tester to be a key resource on a technical services team. Requirements

  • 7 Years Experience Testing Complex Web Applications
  • 7 Years Testing all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
  • 6 Years Advance Database/SQL Language
  • 4 Years Testing automation experience with Java and TestNG
  • 4 Years Experience creating automation test frameworks using Playwright
  • 3 Years Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools
  • 3 Years Experience using GitHub CoPilot or other AI Tools to generate Test Scripts

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years Experience with Workflow Driven Automation
  • Work experience with Atlassian JIRA
  • Work experience with Zephyr
  • Experience working closely with TEA or another state or local agency
  • Experience working with Educator Prep Program and partnerships
  • Experience with Educator Certification

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA division of IT (Information Technology).
  • Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.
  • Work with the project development teams to provide Software Testing Services.
  • Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases.
  • Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail.
  • Perform manual testing and data validation.
  • Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
  • Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team.
  • Execute performance and accessibility testing.
  • The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the Texas Education Agency.
