About The Position

Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios and test data for PDMES System and Salesforce Platform changes. Ensures software and system changes meet business and quality standards by performing functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing across provider data and downstream systems. Identifies, documents and tracks software defects, partners with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and technical teams to resolve issues, and validates production fixes. Supports release activities, monitors production jobs and interfaces to identify processing failures, performs root cause analysis, and verifies successful resolution. Develops a strong understanding of healthcare provider business processes, data integrations, and system workflows while mentoring junior testers and promoting quality assurance best practices. We are looking for an experienced professional in the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area who is willing and able to work in a hybrid model. The incumbent will be expected to work a portion of their week from home and a portion of their week at a CareFirst location based on business needs and work activities/deliverables that week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
  • 5 years Experience in software development and/or testing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of software test requirements and protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Knowledge of wireless communications and network systems.
  • Advanced programming skills on a programming language.
  • Working experience with databases.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technical requirements, user stories, specifications, and change requests to develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing for Salesforce and Provider applications.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and document application defects and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Document, analyze, and communicate test results, defects, and quality metrics using established defect tracking tools.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and technical teams to investigate, reproduce, and resolve software defects.
  • Perform retesting and regression testing to validate defect resolution and support application releases.
  • Maintain testing documentation, test evidence, and traceability to ensure compliance with quality standards and SDLC processes.
  • Guide and mentor team of testers in support of the projects and day-to-day to testing effort. This is also includes supporting and working with associates, contractors and third-party resources.
