About The Position

Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers. We work within the IC to understand their requirements, shape their concepts of operation, and deliver exquisite capability across their problem set. We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers’ most pressing national security requirements. We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Reston, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying software defects, and ensuring the overall quality of our products.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Testing in Linux and Windows environments
  • Strong understanding of core networking principles and basic IP networking protocols
  • Proficiency in using network analysis tools, such as Wireshark.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Git and common platforms like Gitlab, Github or Bitbucket
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
  • Strong debugging, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Aptitude for learning
  • Good documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt & contribute to changing priorities
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active secret security clearance (at a minimum)

Nice To Haves

  • Basic proficiency in Python or other coding languages
  • Familiarity of automated testing frameworks such as Pytest
  • Automated UI testing tools like Playwright or Selenium is a plus
  • Experience validating designs intended for harsh or deployed environments (ruggedized, airborne, or space).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software & firmware products
  • Perform thorough functional, regression, and user acceptance testing with hardware-in-the-loop
  • Identify, document, and track software/firmware defects
  • Collaborate with developers to debug issues and verify fixes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies
  • Create comprehensive validation plans to include clear pass/fail criteria and adherence to relevant industry standards, ensuring precise traceability from design requirements to specific test procedures.
