About The Position

Price Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer and distributor of air distribution products, is seeking a Software QA Analyst (Manual and Automation) for their growing Winnipeg manufacturing facility. This role involves developing test plans, executing manual and automated tests, managing defects, validating data and APIs, and participating in Agile ceremonies. The ideal candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
  • Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise systems (Manual and Automation).
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Experience with Automation using Playwright /Typescript (a must).
  • Experience with Postman, VS Code, Visual Studio.

Nice To Haves

  • ISTQB or other QA certifications
  • Prior experience or exposure in Angular, React.js, C#, .NET, .NET Core, Java, Claude, GitHub, JavaScript
  • Prior experience or exposure in Database Applications: PostgreSQL , Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Execute manual or automated testing for new features, enhancements, and defect fixes.
  • Perform Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, Load/Performance Testing, and Exploratory Testing.
  • Validate end-to-end business workflows and system integrations.
  • Create automated testing based on solid flow for regression and smoke testing.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
  • Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure stability of releases.
  • Validate application data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform SQL-based data verification and reconciliation.
  • Test and validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman.
  • Verify business rules, calculations, and report outputs.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are testable and well understood.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Recommend and evaluate new testing tools and best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining test documentation and QA metrics.
