About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Software Product Owner (PO) to support PAE Fires. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. The role involves working as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The Product Owner will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of network application development and updates/patches for the Network Application Team (NAT). This includes reviewing Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms, guiding the development team, and supporting the development of acceptance criteria for network tasks and stories, with responsibility for their verification. The PO will also work with the Cyber team to ensure a hardened cyber posture for the system network and collaborate with program management on setting priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint. Additionally, the role requires performing technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership, providing status reports, and recommending courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
  • Good understanding of networking to include IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, networking device configuration, and network status monitoring.
  • Broad understanding of SNMPv3.
  • Able to work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence, Security+, and Linux.
  • Agilist certification.
