About The Position

As a Software Engineering Intern on Sonos’s Partner Engineering team, you will contribute to software that ships to Sonos customers and supports more than 120 Music Service Partner integrations across Sonos players and the Sonos apps for Android and iOS. You will be paired with a mentor and take on a scoped project while learning how a professional engineering team designs, builds, tests, and ships software. Depending on your interests and experience, you may work on embedded player software in C/C++ involving music playback, device-to-device interaction, and partner SDK integrations, or on the Sonos mobile app for Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift), helping customers find, connect, and play partner content. The 11-week internship runs June 7 through August 20, 2027. It is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position requiring at least four days per week onsite at the Boston office. Relocation and housing assistance are not available. The internship program includes multi-day orientation and onboarding, a speaker series with business leadership, social and team-building activities, meaningful projects, mentorship, and a collaborative, creative culture. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program, meet the stated graduation-date criteria, be available for the program, work from the Boston office at least four days a week, and be authorized to work for any U.S. employer now and in the future. Sonos cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.
