About The Position
Pella Corporation is seeking motivated undergraduate students for our Software Internship in Pella, Iowa. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong academic standing
- Basic knowledge of version control tools such as Git and GitHub
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, C++, or similar technologies
- Experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, or training related to software development
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new technologies and concepts
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to web application development concepts
- Familiarity with front-end, back-end, or full-stack development principles
- Experience working on team-based projects through coursework, extracurricular activities, or internships
- Hands-on experience using Claude Code or a similar LLM agent to help define tasks and implement solutions
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and deployment of web-based applications and digital solutions
- Learn and apply modern software development practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD processes
- Collaborate with developers and technical leads to create and integrate APIs, services, and application features
- Partner with Product and Design teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Support the delivery of new features and enhancements through iterative development practices
