Software Integration Lead
About The Position
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Software Integration Lead to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar orientated problems. Leidos Defense Systems Sector provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Solutions for Defense include enterprise and mission IT, large-scale intelligence systems, command and control, geospatial and data analytics, cybersecurity, logistics, training, and intelligence analysis and operations support. Our team is solving the world’s toughest security challenges for customers with “can’t fail” missions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
- 12-15 years of experience in software development project management.
- Working knowledge of C++.
- Good communication skills for working in a highly collaborative lab environment and interfacing with customers.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Good fundamentals in Jira agile boards, backlogs, and reports.
- Good fundamentals in Agile practices like scrum, iterations, and schedules based on team velocity.
- Good fundamentals in GitLab CI/CD Pipelines.
- Familiarity with Modern C++ development.
- Familiarity with Unit Test development.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
- Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area.

- Additional skills in Jira.
- Additional skills in GitLab.
- Additional skills in Google unit test.
- Previous military experience.
Responsibilities
- Support advanced technology radar product development and software delivery.
- Negotiate agile backlog priorities.
- Perform schedule estimation based on agile team velocity.
- Present progress to customers and negotiate schedule changes and content impacts.
- Interface with lab IT to ensure the development toolchain is in good working order.
- Work closely with a highly collaborative development team primarily in a lab environment.
- Maintain two separate CI/CD pipelines: one in a cloud environment and one in a lab environment.
