FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineers II – Risk and Fraud Technology to design and develop moderately complex, secure application code across distributed systems, focusing on authentication, authorization, fraud prevention, and risk assessment modules. Define and implement system flows for identity verification, access control, and transaction risk evaluation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and database systems. Analyze, modify, and enhance application components, with a focus on implementing advanced security controls, fraud detection logic, and API protection mechanisms. This includes developing secure RESTful APIs, performing unit testing, validating security requirements, and debugging application issues. Implement and integrate authentication and authorization frameworks, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), OAuth-based authorization, token lifecycle management, and identity federation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application development, fraud and risk teams, security engineering, and infrastructure teams, to design and deploy risk-aware, secure, and compliant solutions. Participate in client-facing meetings, vendor integrations, and external partnerships involving identity platforms, fraud detection tools, and secure payment authentication protocols such as 3-D Secure (3DS). Contribute to enforcing enterprise standards by implementing security controls, monitoring mechanisms, audit logging, and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks such as PCI and PSD2. Identify vulnerabilities, fraud patterns, and system risks, and implement corrective measures to improve system resilience and security posture. Support planning activities by providing effort estimations, contributing to delivery timelines, and assisting in the mentorship and technical guidance of junior engineers.
