Software Engineering Technical Leader

CiscoMilpitas, CA
$186,900 - $267,700Hybrid

About The Position

Cisco Cloud Control is Cisco's next-generation, AI-powered platform for managing, securing, and operating across the Cisco portfolio from a single place. Studio is where customers build on it — turning a prompt into a running, production-grade application, whether that's an interactive app or an autonomous agent that does work unattended, all governed, hosted, and surfaced natively inside Cloud Control. It's for everyone—engineers, non-technical builders, and AI agents—and brings together an App Builder and a bring-your-own coding-agent path, with the docs and resources to build and manage apps your own way. We're building the platform for AI app development, and Studio is the craft-defined surface on top of it. We're hiring a Frontend Software Engineer to own how that experience is engineered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience, Master's + 6 years, or PhD + 3 years.
  • 5+ years of professional experience building web applications using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • 3+ years of experience developing with TypeScript in a production environment.
  • Experience working within a monorepo architecture (e.g., Nx, pnpm/Yarn workspaces).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automated testing (e.g., Jest, Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Domain expertise in AI application platforms, LLM streaming UIs, or agentic app-generation products.
  • Hands-on experience with microfrontend architectures and modern bundlers (Module Federation, Rspack, Webpack).
  • Advanced UI skills using React Router v6/7, TanStack Query/Table, and Framer Motion.
  • Experience building low-latency, data-rich visualizations for large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of backend integration (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Node.js).

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the end-to-end Studio experience in React 18+ and TypeScript within a large-scale Nx monorepo.
  • Unify the App Builder and BYO coding-agent paths into a single, cohesive user experience.
  • Develop the prompt-to-app loop, integrating streaming LLM interfaces, agentic flows, and multimodal inputs.
  • Implement features across a microfrontend architecture (Module Federation) while maintaining strict performance budgets for data-rich visualizations.
  • Write reliable automated tests (unit, integration, E2E) and contribute to frontend observability and CI/CD pipelines.
