Trimble is seeking an inspiring Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a high-performing engineering group, drive complex software development lifecycles, and deliver high-impact positioning solutions. In this role, you will hold primary accountability for delivering complex positioning and controls algorithm projects, combining technical leadership with team mentorship to directly influence next-generation product lifecycles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in software or systems engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycles and product development processes.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and technical problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) workflows.
  • Technical background in Control and State Estimation Theory.
  • Proven track record in coaching, mentoring, and facilitating the development of engineering teams.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and empower an engineering team to foster collaborative relationships across cross-functional groups and achieve key business goals.
  • Establish team-level strategies to solve complex technical challenges across positioning, control algorithms, and system component design.
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle to meet quality, cost, and time-to-market targets for new product introductions.
  • Apply foundational product development expertise to guide conceptual design, data analysis, requirements management, and failure resolution.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, suppliers, and key stakeholders to advance technology solutions impacting global field systems.
