About The Position

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Senior Advisor for the Morris Plains, NJ location to provide counsel and advice to management on significant software engineering matters. This role involves working on highly complex processes and projects, providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines, and completing complex software delivery assignments. The position will deliver solutions on the communication platform, collaborate with various technical and business stakeholders, drive software engineering best practices, and ensure timely delivery of products and projects. The advisor will be involved in all phases of projects, from inception to post-implementation support, and will advise business partners on solutions and contribute to project planning. This position has a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field and 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Work on highly complex processes and projects, provide thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines, and complete complex software delivery assignments.
Deliver solutions on the communication platform, as well as collaborate with technical product owners, business product owners, other engineering teams, solution architecture, vendors, infrastructure, CIP, release management, and other partners.
Drive and promote software engineering best practices and ensure timely delivery of products and projects.
Ensure that teams understand and deliver solutions that meet guidelines, as well as resolve issues.
Involved in all phases of projects, from project inception, decomposition, design, solutioning, implementation, testing, deployment, and post implementation support. advise business partners regarding solutions, as well as contribute to the project planning process.
