About The Position

Tecknoworks is a global technology consulting company. We are looking for a Software Engineering Practice Lead who combines deep technical expertise, strong client-facing skills, and a passion for developing people. This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence, client delivery, and practice growth. As a Practice Lead, you are the technical authority and people leader for Software Engineering Practice. You define how we build, how we scale, and how we grow engineers, while contributing hands-on to client engagements.

Requirements

  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong presence in client-facing scenarios (workshops, negotiations, presentations)
  • Ability to influence decisions and build long-term client partnerships
  • Structured and clear communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience in solution architecture and technical decision-making
  • Strong expertise in the Microsoft technology stack (including Azure, .NET, etc.) combined with hands-on experience in modern architectures and trending technologies such as microservices, APIs, containerization, and DevOps practices, with solid cloud exposure across both Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
  • Ability to bridge business requirements with scalable technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of modern technologies, architectures, and delivery models
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams
  • Strong capability in performance management and talent development
  • Commitment to building engaged, high-performing teams
  • Experience contributing to our leading presales activities
  • Ability to develop proposals, POCs, and solution strategies

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce technical standards and architecture
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance
  • Drive delivery quality and continuous improvement
  • Act as a senior technical advisor in client engagements
  • Contribute to presales and technical proposals
  • Lead and develop engineers and Squad Leads
  • Drive hiring, capability development, and knowledge sharing
  • Support practice strategy, assets, and frameworks
  • Collaboration on workforce planning and delivery alignment
  • Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines across the Software Engineering Practice.
  • Provide hands-on guidance on complex technical challenges and critical delivery decisions
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement, aligning with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Ensure high-quality delivery outcomes through reviews, governance, and technical oversight
  • Act as direct manager for 25+ Practice members, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and collaboration
  • Lead performance management with strong emphasis on capability development in all areas
  • Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing, coaching, and continuous learning
  • Identify capability gaps and drive training, certification, and upskilling initiatives
  • Build a strong, engaged, and scalable Practice culture
  • Maintain visibility over team allocation and utilization across projects
  • Collaborate with Project Leads to ensure optimal staffing and capability alignment
  • Support hiring strategy and participate in technical recruitment processes as a hiring manager.
  • Ensure alignment between delivery excellence and client expectations
  • Drive the development of reusable assets, frameworks, and accelerators
  • Enable cross-project learning and innovation initiatives
  • Establish structured communication cadences within the Practice
  • Contribute to Practice strategy, growth, and capability development
