About The Position

The Software Engineering Manager provides senior engineering leadership across multiple Agile crews delivering enterprise Pega solutions. The role is accountable for Pega delivery execution, platform governance, engineering standards, and building strong internal Pega capability. Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple development crews and complex Pega delivery initiatives across a major business segment
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Pega engineers and technical leads
  • Ensure predictable delivery through effective planning, staffing, and dependency management
  • Partner with product, architecture, risk, and operations stakeholders to align Pega solutions to business goals
  • Ensure compliance with PNC enterprise risk management, security, and regulatory standards
  • Own Pega engineering quality, delivery metrics, and continuous improvement across teams
  • Drive adoption of standard SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices within the Pega platform
  • Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions.
  • Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
  • Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.
  • Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
  • Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications.
