Position Summary As a co-op or intern within our Software Engineering department, you will have the opportunity to join either the Enterprise Development Team or the Application Development Team. You will gain hands-on experience by carrying out the same day-to-day responsibilities as a full-time, entry-level engineer. A description of each team is provided below: The Enterprise Development Team (EDT): Focuses on the software applications, enterprise libraries, and data-driven database solutions that improve business/manufacturing efficiency, management decision making, and other strategic objectives. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Business Intelligence (BI), data analytics, and/or DevOps is a plus but not a requirement. Day-to-day programming involves C#, advanced SQL, BI dashboards/SSRS reporting, Python, and some JavaScript. The Application Development Team (ADT): Focuses on the applications and front-end features/functionality of Aerotech’s motion control software. This involves both the design and implementation of user interfaces with a focus on user experience, and the coding that interfaces with the lower levels of the software stack. Day-to-day programming involves C# coding and WPF UI development. Note: Internships typically last approximately three (3) months within a single summer.
