About The Position

Genesys is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to explore how AI can address engineering and customer challenges within Genesys Cloud. The intern will contribute to production software across the full stack, including services built with Go, applications built with React, and workloads running on AWS. The role emphasizes curiosity, initiative, and interest in experimenting with AI and emerging development tools, alongside learning how modern applications are built and operated.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Programming experience through coursework, projects, internships, research, or similar activities.
Strong interest in AI and enthusiasm for experimenting with AI-enabled systems and tools.
Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new technologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience experimenting with AI technologies, applications, APIs, models, or related tools.
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud technologies.
Exposure to full-stack development, Go, React, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

Build and test features that contribute to Genesys Cloud.
Explore AI technologies and new development tools to solve engineering problems.
Develop full-stack functionality while learning technologies such as Go and React.
Design software with scalability, reliability, availability, and quality in mind.
Collaborate through code reviews, technical discussions, and team development activities.
