About The Position

This is a returning RTX internship for Summer 2027, based onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The intern will support engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures; compile testing on diagnostic systems; research equipment-design stages and develop design options and recommendations; and learn and follow hardware and software standards. The role provides exposure to avionics technologies, how hardware and software integrate into products, and software product life-cycle phases and engineering processes used to produce high-quality products.

Requirements

Be actively pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field through completion of the internship/co-op session.
Have a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship/co-op session.
Be a U.S. Person, as defined in the job posting.

Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
Create, compile, and consolidate testing on diagnostic systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
Assist with disciplinary research on one or more stages of equipment design to develop design options and recommendations.
Learn hardware and software standards and ensure work products adhere to them and meet organizational business objectives.
